They provide advice and share young people’s views internally to CYS and externally to politicians and decisions makers about the needs and interests of young people.
In recent years they have advocated for improved mental health facilities, student housing, rural transport, poverty as it impacts directly on young people and homelessness as it impacts on young people.
Younger voices are young people aged between 16 and 24 from all parts of Clare Youth Service who come together to talk about issues of importance to young people in Clare.
The group meet every month – in a relaxed, non-judgemental space to share opinions and ideas with the freedom to simply listen if preferred.
