The Junction
The Junction is a Youth and Community building developed by Clare County Council and Clare Youth Service to serve the Youth and Community needs in Ennis.
It includes a kitchen/craft room, a project/meeting room, an arts space and an open plan youth café. Adult Programmes In the Centre include Coffee Mornings every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30 to 12:30 open to all for a chat, to meet friends or simply read the newspapers, Tea/Coffee, Scones available – All Welcome
Other Adult programmes:
- Book Club (1st Wednesday of the each month)
- Scrabble Group
- Sit and Knit
- Cooking groups
- Community Garden Volunteer Group
- Occasional: Intergenerational programmes and Seasonal Crafts
Current Youth Programmes:
- Tuesday Chill-out (14 – 17 years) 4 to 6
- Friday
- 1st year group – 3.30 to 4.30pm
- The legends (2nd & 3rd years) – 5 to 6.30pm
- Cook n’ chat (15 to 18’s) – 7 to 8.30pm
- Saturday
- Youth Café (15 to 17’s) – 3 to 6pm
Youth Programmes include Transition to 1st year, Personal Development Groups, Summer Camps, Integration Groups, Nutrition and Wellbeing groups, Skills Development, Discussion Groups and change regularly through the year based on expressed need.
